Labadie Energy Center Eco-Span

In November of 2016, Goodwin Brothers Construction, Crystal City, MO installed a 36′ x 11′ Eco-Span™ 3-sided bridge structure to carry a haul road to transport utility waste from Ameren’s Labadie Energy Center, outside Labadie, MO to a new landfill being constructed on adjacent property.  The 36 LF of 3-sided structure was installed on nine-foot cast-in-place pedestals (above the 24″ thick footings), as Ameren intends to transport very large power plant components down this Franklin County road, leading to their Energy Center.

Taylor Excavating & Crane, St. Louis, MO, easily lift the 6 arched sections and 6 headwall pieces into place, once the high-power lines were secured by Ameren. PreTek Group, Dayton, OH which owns the Eco-Span™ design, provide the forms, engineering and shop drawings for the bridge and components for this project.  McCann Concrete Products has cast both arched and flat-top 3-sided bridge structures for State, County and local projects throughout Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.
